I'm Karina, a Chicana/Latina born, raised, and currently residing in East Los Angeles! I'm a graphic designer, illustrator, and occasionally a Zine vendor on the weekends so look out for me in any fests are in your area! I love watching cartoons and true crime documentaries but when I am not homebound I love looking for new boba and hot chicken sandwich places (psssst current faves are Twinkle Brown Sugar and Egg&Bird!) but away from the city I recently found out I really like walking through trails and hiking, kinda gives me a reason to whip out my phone and take pictures with my SEEK app of the different plants in my area! Current favorite plant, Cheeseweed Mellow!
Even though I am an introvert at heart I love meeting and working with people and creating a genuine connection with folks I work with! I enjoy challenging myself as well as learning new skills I can use in my creative work! Every project I have been a part of has taught me new lessons and creative problem solving skills that I use in future creative work Current goal; learn Blender! These skills include branding, logo, design, illustration, social media, print and digital media, and a little bit of environmental design.
My journey is just beginning and I can't wait what tomorrow holds! To quote Russel from Pixar's movie, UP, "Adventure is out there!" I wonder where my next adventure will be?
